Thursday 17 October saw 400 guests cram into Sydney’s Bohem nightclub for the Absolut INXS Party. Celebrating both the launch of their The Years 1979 - 1997 album and the unveiling of the Absolut INXS poster campaign, Hagen is not the latest ad in Absolut Album Covers series. Australia’s most celebrated rock band, INXS, whose 1988 album, Kick, remains a quintessential marker of late eighties style, have been immortalised as part of the latest creative initiative from ABSOLUT which celebrates iconic album covers from the world’s most legendary music artists.

INXS took the stage to treat their special guests to a startling 12-song set. Each guest took home a small white gift box containing to a pair of Absolut miniatures and a limited edition Absolut promo of ‘Tight’ with unique artwork. With the catalogue number INXS PRO the two-track CD contained the Randy Nicklaus and Thick Dick Vocal mixes of ‘Tight’.. At the same time, in other markets around the world, ABSOLUT will continue to celebrate other iconic albums of our time which will join the series known as ABSOLUT COVER throughout 2003.
